TripGil is an English-language Korea travel decision site for international travelers. We are not a personal diary and we do not treat one traveler’s anecdote as a universal recommendation.
Our methodology
Every guide begins with the decision a traveler needs to make. We identify the factors that can change the answer, prefer official and primary sources, record when time-sensitive evidence was checked, and label editorial judgment as judgment.
We prioritize
- Official operators and public authorities
- Direct provider documentation
- Transparent comparison criteria
- Visible updated and verified dates
We avoid
- Universal winners without traveler context
- Unlabeled sponsored influence
- Theme-coded prices or live travel facts
- Recycling another publisher’s reporting
Data sources and evidence systems
TripGil prefers official and primary sources where possible. Time-sensitive facts are checked and dated, while sources and limitations are shown where they help a traveler judge the guidance. Questions or corrections can be sent through the contact details below.
Editorial policy
We write for the traveler’s decision, distinguish source-backed facts from editorial judgment, and keep uncertainty and limitations visible. Published corrections should change the affected guidance without hiding what was previously verified.
Affiliate disclosure
TripGil may earn a commission when a reader uses certain links, at no extra cost to the reader. Affiliate relationships do not determine comparison factors, rankings, or verdicts. If a commercial option is not the best fit for a scenario, the guide should say so.
Privacy
The current public editorial experience does not require a reader account. The hosting stack may process routine request information needed to operate and protect the site. This notice will be expanded before additional reader-data features are introduced.

Corrections and review
Each evidence-heavy guide is designed to show an updated date and a separate last-verified date. When a source changes, the affected claim should be reviewed rather than silently overwritten.
